How to collect wedding guest photos without an app
A practical plan for gathering the candid photos guests take, without asking them to install an app or create an account.
Set up one place before the wedding
Guest photos tend to end up in separate chats, camera rolls, and social posts. Give everyone one private place to send them before the day begins. Add your wedding details, then keep the guest link and QR code somewhere you can find them when you make signs or send a message.
Decide whether to use an event password. If you do, share it with invited guests separately from any sign that might be seen by others. Check the upload window for your chosen package so you know when guests can contribute.
Share the link in more than one way
Put the QR code where guests naturally pause, such as the welcome table, bar, or guest book. Add a short instruction so they know what scanning will do. You can also put the private link in a wedding website or a message to guests who prefer tapping a link.
Test the printed code with a phone before the wedding. A clear sign at a comfortable scanning distance will do more than several tiny codes hidden among other details.
Keep the upload easy for guests
Guests can open the link in their phone browser, choose photos, add a display name, and upload. They do not need to install an app or make an account. If you added an event password, make sure the people helping on the day know how guests can get it.
Some guests will upload during the reception; others will remember when they look through their camera roll afterward. A gentle reminder while uploads are still open gives those later photos a chance to reach you.
Review the gallery and keep the originals
Once photos arrive, review the gallery and hide or remove anything you do not want to share. Guests can enjoy the shared gallery while its viewing window is open.
After the upload window closes, download the approved original files in ZIP batches. Save a copy with the rest of your wedding photos so the candid moments are easy to revisit later.
